Glen Oaks Housing Association manages or owns approximately 2900 properties for rent and shared ownership, providing a wide range of property types including new build and modernised tenements.  The properties are within the areas of Arden, Darnley, Jenny Lind and Pollok in the South West of Glasgow.

The Association introduced a Gold Service Scheme in June 2002.  This innovative incentive-based scheme rewards tenants keeping to their tenancy agreement and gives them a faster repairs service, Bonusbonds and a range of other benefits.  Gold Service is proving very popular with our customers.

In relation to the Arden area, the Association is progressing a significant major repairs programme.  We are reviewing our future regeneration strategy for Arden at present, in conjunction with Communities Scotland and Glasgow City Council.  We have recently built 42 new homes on a gap site and demolished over 100 tenemental properties.

We are committed to "Wider Action" initiatives in the areas in which we work.  To date we have provided play areas, CCTV, employment training, environmental improvement and crime reduction initiatives, and we are actively pursuing other projects. We were instrumental in setting up "Greater Pollok Properties Limited" along with other agencies.  It builds and manages workspace units and offices.  Our Chief Executive, Alasdair McKee, is the Chair of the local CAB Board.
